Gameplay Feature Settings
These are the available gameplay settings in the game, and a bit about what they actually do. There are more settings still in the default pyprocgame set up that I'm not using, but have not necessarily removed. They just won't do anything.
- 2X Scoring Feature (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- You can turn off the double scoring feature anywhere it's used with this setting
- 2X Scoring Hits (Defaults to 2, Min 1, Max 5)
- How many hits PER SIDE to the quickdraw targets are required to light the 2x scoring shot
- 2X Scoring Timer (Defaults to 30, Min 15, Max 60)
- Time in seconds that the 2X scoring will last once started
- Ambush Awards Badge (Defaults to No, Options, No, Yes)
- If Yes, Ambush also awards the Showdown badge point
- Ambush Ball Saver (Defaults to Enabled, Options Enabled, Disabled)
- Turns a ball saver for ambush mode on and off
- Ambush Escapes to Lose (Defaults to 3, Min 3, Max 15)
- How many bad guys have to escape to cause Ambush mode to end
- Ambush Target Timer (Defaults to 12, Min 5, Max 30)
- How long targets will stay up during an ambush before escaping
- Ambush or Showdown First (Defaults to Showdown, Options: Ambush, Showdown)
- Sets which mob mode you get after the first 4 quickdraw wins
- Attract Mode Music (Defaults to Yes, Options: Yes, No)
- Determines if the game plays a song after game over
- Attract Mode Sounds (Defaults to yes, Options: Yes, No)
- If set to yes, flipper buttons play sounds during attract mode (within configured limits)
- Attract Mode Wind Noise (Defaults to No, Options: Yes, No)
- If set to yes, there's a wind noise when the tumbleweed rolls across that adds the 'continued' to draw attention
- Attract sound delay time (Defaults to 120, Min30, Max 600)
- Time (in seconds) that the pin will wait after the max number of allowed sounds has been played, before making noise again.
- Attract sounds to play (Defaults to 3, Min 3, max 10)
- This setting determines how many sounds will be played when the flippers are pressed during attract mode
- Bart Brothers Difficulty (Defaults to Easy, Options: Easy, Hard)
- This determines how many hits each bart brother takes to be defeated. When set to hard, the number of shots for each one is increased.
- Bart Brothers for Star (Defaults to 3, Min 2, Max 10)
- Number of bart brothers to defeat to light the badge
- Beer Mug Hits for Multiball (Defaults to 5, Min 2,Max 20)
- Number of hits to the Beer Mug required to light Drunk Multiball
- Note: This is just the first time, after the firsts time, the initial number is boosted with each succession
- Bionic Bart Ball Save (Defaults to Disable, Options: Enable, Disable)
- If enabled, there's a ball saver at the start of each phase of the Bionic Bart fight
- Bionic Bart Ball Save Timer (Defaults to 15, Min 5, Max 40)
- Number of seconds the Bionic Bart ball saver will last at each phase.
- Bozo Ball (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- If enabled, this lights an extra ball on the outlanes if game time total is shorter than the number of minutes in the "Bozo Ball Minutes" setting.
- Bonus X Limit (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- If enabled, this limits the maximum amount of Bonus X a player can earn per ball
- Bonus X Max (Defaults to 10, Min 5, Max 20)
- If enabled, this sets the value for bonus x max before stopping the player
- Boss Bart Posse (Defaults to 'Avoid', Options: 'Shoot','Avoid'
- When on "Avoid" shots to the Boss are multiplied in value by the number of bad guy targets still standing
- When on "Shoot" each target taken out bumps up the base value of shots to the Boss
- Bozo Ball Minutes (Defaults to 2, Min 1, Max 5)
- This sets the timer for the Bozo Ball feature. If total game time is less than the number of minutes set, bozo ball is lit on ball three.
- CvA GI Behavior (Defaults to 'Default', Options: Default, On)
- This option if changed to on sets the GI during Cowboys VS Aliens to be always on, rather dynamically on and off as originally intended.
- Combo Timer (Defaults to 7, Min 3, Max 10)
- Time (in seconds) that the "COMBOS" lights will stay lit after a successful shot
- Combos For Star (Defaults to 10, Min 5, Max 20)
- Number of Combo hits required to light the Badge light for Combos
- Default Ball Save Time (Defaults to 10, Min 5, Max 25)
- Duration in seconds of default ball savers
- Drunk Multiball GI (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- Sets whether or not the GI lighting is on during Drunk Multiball. By design, this should be off. It's meant to be hard - because you're "drunk". It should be hard to see. But this option will allow you to turn the GI on during the mode if that better suits your needs and/or situation
- Drunk Multiball Intro skip(Defaults to No, Options: Yes, No)
- If set to yes, you can stop the drunk multiball intro by pressing both flippers.
- Drunk Multiball Stacking (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- When enabled, several other modes can start on top of drunk multiball (Goldmine, Save Polly, Stampede, etc)
- Fast Restart After Game (Defaults to Enabled, options: Enabled, Disabled)
- With this enabled, you can start a new game during match (Rather than waiting for it) and immediately after high score entry (with no dead zone). With it disabled, you have to wait through the match, and then there's a dead zone after high score entry to prevent accidentally starting a new game.
- Franks N Beans: (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- Franks and Beans is a humorous tribute to the movie Blazing Saddles. It's a timed scoring mode only.
- Franks N Beans Time: (Defaults to 30, Min 15, Max 60)
- Number of seconds the Franks and Beans mode will last
- Gold Mine Bandits: (Defaults to 'Enabled', Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- If enabled, on any run of the Gold Mine Multiball after the first one, when you hit 'motherlode', Bandits show up to try to steal it. Defeat them or get no points.
- Gold Mine Bandits Timer: (Defaults to 30, Options: Min 10, Max 60)
- Length of time in seconds you have to shoot the bandits
- Gold Mine Multiball Restart (Defaults to Yes, Options: Yes, No)
- If set to yes, allows a restart timer if you lose the multiball before collecting a motherlode or 3 jackpots
- Gold Mine Restart Timer (Defaults to 8, Min 5, Max 15)
- How long the restart timer should run
- High Def Flair (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Disabled, Enabled)
- If this is enabled and you have the color LCD screen - the moonlight mode uses special High def banner screens
- Last Call Mode (Defaults to Enabled, options: Enabled, Disabled)
- If you disable Last Call the end of game goes straight to the high score, skipping the match and Last Call. You shouldn't do that. Last Call is awesome. Every time someone disables Last Call I die a little inside.
- Marshall Jackpot Timer (Defaults to 15, Min 5, Max 60)
- How long the 'jackpot mode' in Marshall Multiball lasts
- Marshall Multiball (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- Removes Marshall Multiball from the game, if disabled - also from the attract mode
- Marshall Multiball Music (Defaults to No, Options: Yes, No)
- If set to Yes, the Marshall Multiball has background music
- Marshall Req for Bionic (Defaults to No, Opitons: No, Yes)
- If set to Yes, even if the badge is complete, bionic bart will not start if you are not at the rank of Marshall
- Midnight Force (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Disabled, Enabled)
- If enabled, you can force Moonlight Madness by holding the left flipper when you press start.
- Mine Opening Difficulty (Defaults to 'Easy', Option: Easy, Hard)
- This controls how many hits it takes to fully open the mine. Easy is 4, Hard is 8
- Moonlight Mins to Midnight (Defaults to 3, Min: 1, Max: 15)
- How many minutes before midnight the Moonlight Madness is available.
- If set to 1, MM will start during 11:59 and 12:00 - if set for 15, MM will start between 11:45 and 12:00, etc.
- Moonlight Shots at Start (Defaults to 3, Min: 1 Max: 6)
- This sets how many shots out of the total of 9 are lit at the start of Moonlight Madness. Lower number makes the mode harder to progress to Bonanza
- Motherlode Badge Difficulty (Defaults to Normal, Options: Easy, Normal)
- On easy, one motherlode of any kind is required, On Normal you either need 3 regular motherlode shots, or one "multiplied" motherlode shot
- Move Your Train Max Shots (Defaults to 6, Min: 5, Max 20)
- The maximum number of shots the Move Your Train will stay running for
- Move Your Train Mode (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- Removes the Move Your Train mode from the game if disabled.
- Multiball Ball Savers (Defaults to No, Options: Yes, No)
- If set to yes, any multiball start will trigger a ball saver if one is not already active
- Multiball Locks Difficulty (Defaults to Easy, Options: Easy, Hard)
- Number of hits to light the locks for multiball - Hard increases the number needed for each lock
- Multiball Savers Timer (Defaults to 10, Min 5, Max 30)
- Length of time in seconds the multiball start ball savers will last
- Party - Flip Count (Defaults to 50, Min 10, Max 500)
- How many flipper hits are allowed during "Flip Ct" party mode.
- Party Mode (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Disabled, Flip Ct, Drunk, Rel Flip, Newbie, No Hold,Lights Out, Spiked)
- If set to "Flip Ct" it enables a special limited number of flips game mode.
- If set to "Drunk" flippers are reversed.
- If set to "Rel Flip" button action is inverted - Release button to flip, hold to lower.
- If set to "Newbie" either flipper button flips both flippers.
- If set to "No Hold" the hold coil is disabled.
- If set to "Lights Out" the feature lamps are disabled
- If set to "Spiked" the beer mug is a tilt switch
- Polly Dies Animation (Defaults to Show, Options: Show, Hide)
- Controls whether or not the animation of polly getting hit by the train is shown
- Quickdraw Timer (Defaults to 20, Min 5, Max 30)
- Time (in seconds) that the quickdraw mode lasts, score devaluation adjusts to match the time change
- Quickdraw Wins for EB (Defaults to 4, Min 2, Max 7)
- How many quickdraw wins required to light the Extra Ball award
- Quickdraws Lit Difficulty (Defaults to Easy, Options: Easy ,Hard)
- If set for hard, both quickdraw targets must be hit to light the quickdraw -- on easy, only one is required
- Save Polly Shots - River (Defaults to 3, Min 2, Max 15)
- How many ramp shots are required to win the Rescue on the River
- Save Polly Shots - Train (Defaults to 5, Min 2, Max 15)
- How many shots to save Polly from the train
- Note: Time in the train mode is not adjustable due to the moving toy - I don't have adjustable speed for it coded
- Save Polly Timer - Bank (Defaults to 30, Min 15, Max 60)
- Time (in seconds) that you have to complete Hostage at the Bank
- Note: The number of shots is not adjustable because it's one shot to each ramp that coincides with a bad guy
- Save Polly Timer - River (Defaults to 30, Min 15, Max 60)
- Time (in seconds) that you have to complete the Rescue on the River
- Save Polly Wins Required - (Defaults to No, Options: Yes, No)
- If set to yes, you have to win the save polly mode for it to stick and count as progress toward stampede
- Shots to defeat Bionic Bart (Defaults to 3, Min 2, Max 10)
- The number of times you must complete the shot sequence that hits Bionic Bart to win the battle
- Showdown Difficulty (Defaults to Easy, Options: Easy, Hard)
- On easy, the game adds a ball after each completed rack to bad guys -- On hard, only 1 ball (total) can be added to the mode after starting
- Skillshot Boosts (Defaults to Easy, Options: Easy, Hard)
- On easy, if you get a shot type as a prize, it is boosted to completion. On hard, the shot only advances one hit
- Stampede Mode (Defaults to Original, Options: Origina, Alternate)
- On "Alternate" the lit jackpot is controlled by the player by shooting left & right of it and is worth more the farther off center it is.
- On "Original" the lit jackpot shot roams constantly on it's own
- Super Cheat (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- If this is enabled, you can force all the super skill shot prizes to be the same, and select the one you want. After enabling super skill shot, hit the right flipper 5 times, and the left flipper twice. Then select your prize with either flipper.
- Super Skill 3 Million (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- Turns the 3 million prize in the super skill shot on and off
- Super Skill Bonus X (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- Turns the Bonus 5x prize in the super skill shot on and off
- Super Skill Gunfight (Defaults to Disabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- Turns the Gunfight lit prize in the super skill shot on and off
- Super Skill Shot (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, DIsabled)
- If Disabled, the super skill shot is not available during the game
- Tournament Mode (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- If enabled, allows for the triggering of a per-game tournament mode that alters settings for fairness & balance in multi-player games.
- Tribute Mode (Defaults to Enabled, Options: Enabled, Disabled)
- If enabled the "Tribute" super skill shot prize is available.
- Tribute Selecting (Defaults to Manual, Options: Manual, Auto)
- If manual, user selects tribute with the flippers, if auto tribute is randomly selected
- Tumbleweeds for CvA
- How many tumbleweeds must be hit to light Cowboys VS Aliens
