It's a smart control board that handles turning on the PC, and more importantly, turning it off safely -- with the pinball power switch. With this board, you can hook up the PC to the always on power from the utility outlet (using a standard adapter cord) and then just use the Pinball power switch to turn things on and off from then on. The board is smart enough to handle all kinds of situations, including flipping the power off and immediately back on before the computer even shuts down! No more worry about if killing the power to the computer will corrupt anything on the computer. It's fantastic!
It works great with the systems I built, but requires a setting change in the bios in the computer to get the USB power settings working in a way that the board needs, but that's it. He provides a cable set to hook things up that takes care of 2 of the three connections it needs. The third one (12v power for the board) can come from anywhere, but is really easy to tap off of the coin door interface board. I'll even make you a cable for this and throw it in the mail for a few bucks if you need.
